Aromasin

Aromasin, also known as Exemestane, is one of the most popular third-generation aromatase inhibitors (AIs) among sportsmen and others who want to reap the endless benefits of anabolic androgenic steroids and performance enhancing drugs, especially harsh or aromatizable steroids.

Medically, Aromasin is recommended during adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with estrogen-receptor positive early breast cancer who have already received two to three years of Tamoxifen and opted for this drug for completing a total of five consecutive years of adjuvant hormonal therapy. The drug may also be prescribed for treating advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women whose disease has progressed following Tamoxifen therapy or for breast cancer treatment options including radiation or chemotherapy.

The third-generation aromatase inhibitor (AI) is chemically described as 6-methylenandrosta-1,4-diene-3,17-dione and its molecular formula is C20H24O2. The tablets of Aromasin include 25 mg of exemestane, an irreversible, steroidal aromatase inactivator. The list of inactive ingredients include mannitol, crospovidone, polysorbate 80, hypromellose, colloidal silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, simethicone, polyethylene glycol 6000, sucrose, magnesium carbonate, titanium dioxide, methylparaben, and polyvinyl alcohol. It is metabolized by cytochrome P 450 3A4 (CYP 3A4) and aldoketoreductase and does not inhibit any of the major CYP isoenzymes, including CYP 1A2, 2C9, 2D6, 2E1, and 3A4.

Sportsmen and others, who run anabolic steroid cycles, bulking or cutting, use Aromasin in daily doses of 50mg, preferably after meals, for reducing estrogen development in the body and preventing conversion of testosterone into women hormones like estrogens. The fact that Aromasin can inhibit the production of estrogens by as much as 98 percent to restore the production of natural hormones (like testosterone and winstrol) and enhances the bioavailability of anabolic steroids used in an anabolic steroid cycle is one of the biggest reasons behind the popularity of this aromastase inhibitor.

Exemestane is not recommended to those diagnosed with high blood fats (cholesterol), bone problems (such as osteopenia, osteoporosis), stroke or blood clots, heart disease (like chest pain, heart attack, heart failure), high blood pressure, kidney problems, and liver problems and is best avoided by pregnant and lactating women, children, those having existing allergy to Aromasin or any of its ingredients, and those treated for prostate, breast, or testicular cancer or suffering from high blood pressure, stroke, and liver damage. It is only indicated in postmenopausal women and geriatric patients do not require following any special precaution while using Exemestane. The third-generation aromatase inhibitor is not advised to women who may become pregnant while taking the drug. The abuse of Aromasin may cause side effects such as visual disturbances, back pain, Osteoarthritis, back pain, fatigue, nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, increased sweating, hypertension, hot flushes, depression, and edema.

Exemestane should not be used by premenopausal women and patients should not take estrogen-containing agents. This AI may reduce the level of estrogens in the body that may further reduce bone mineral density (BMD) over a period of time to result in health complications such as increased risk of osteoporosis and fracture. The advice of a qualified medical practitioner should be sought without any delay after discontinuing the use of this drug, if health complications like sudden shortness of breath, chest/jaw/left arm pain, confusion, coughing up blood, sudden dizziness/fainting, pain/swelling/warmth in the groin/calf, tingling/weakness/numbness in the arms/legs, slurred speech, swelling of arms/legs, weakness on one side of the body, vision changes, sudden/severe headache are experienced after making the use of Aromasin.

Aromasin capsules, pills, and injections are best stored at a controlled room temperature of 25°C (77°F) with excursions permitted to 15°–30°C (59°–86°F); it must be stored in a dark container and protected against heat, moisture, light, sources of ignition, children and pets.
