When lifting weights, you need to be sure that you are getting a good grip on anything that you are trying to lift. If you don’t have a good grip, you could drop the weights and seriously hurt yourself. Even if you have a spot, it may not be enough to prevent serious injury.
Therefore, it may be a good idea to wear something on your hands or feet that will help you establish a good grip each time you do a rep. You may want to consider putting something on your feet to help you get a good base when you lift or to help you keep traction if you are doing a leg exercise.
The good news is that getting a grip takes nothing more than a glove or any other surface that is dry and smooth. If you have baseball gloves or golf gloves that you are not using, you may be able to use those to help you when you lift.
You might also be able to use anything that has a little bit of powder or resin on it as it will stick slightly to the weight when you lift it. If you would like to learn more about this subject, you can go online or talk to a personal fitness expert to hear more about how to stay safe while working out.
